The 31st Annual Apple Blossom Car Show will take place on Sunday, May 3rd, in Jim Barnett Park. Registration is from 8 a.m. until noon.
More than 250 hot rods, custom cars, and muscle machines, along with tricked-up trucks and specialty cars, will be critiqued by judges and admired by many Weekend-in-the-Park visitors. The annual car show is hosted by Yesterday’s Cruisers, Inc., which was founded in 1987 by four car guys–Danny Sullivan, Garry Dunn, Ronnie Hammond, and Ernie Creek–with the idea of bringing together fellow automobile enthusiasts and celebrating the glory days of hot rod cars and rock and roll music.
The first 200 entries will be given a souvenir dash plaque. Awards will be given to the top 50 open-class cars and trucks and to the best-in-show car and truck. Car show chairman, Doyne Teets, will be on hand along with other members of Yesterday’s Cruisers to make sure you have a great fun-filled day and a great show.
Please note: Pets are not allowed in Weekend in the Park. You may bring one (1) unopened water bottle per person. No outside food, however if a parent has an infant, we will allow snacks.
