Stonebrook Club Adult Tennis Tournament
Friday, April 26, 2019 - Sunday, April 28, 2019
The Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival is excited to announce the return of its annual USTA sanctioned tennis tournament for the second year! Last year’s tournament was a great success with both local and out-of-town tennis players of all levels competing for a chance to win prizes, trophies, and to ride in the Apple Blossom Grand Feature Parade. This year, we are very excited that The Fresh Market of Winchester is catering the event. Food, drinks, and snacks will be provided for all participants.
There will be competition for players of all levels — men’s and women’s singles and doubles as well as mixed doubles. Players must have an active USTA membership and an NTRP rating of 2.5 or higher. Entry fee is $43.50 for singles and $23 for each doubles entry with a limit of two entries per participant.
Every registered player will receive a gift bag with both tennis and Apple Blossom merchandise as well as a chance to win door prizes.
For potential players: The Stonebrook Club of Winchester offers nine courts: four indoor and five outdoor. Of the five outdoor courts, two are clay-surfaced and lit for late evening play. The four indoor hard-surfaced courts were all resurfaced less than four years ago with a state-of-the-art “cushion topping” that is considered to be joint friendly. Club Officials say that these courts “let you play hard without your joints feeling like you did the next day.” The facility is just outside of Winchester in a lovely area of rolling hills and blooming orchards.
For potential spectators: All of the indoor courts have new lighting and convenient observation areas so matches can be easily viewed. Spectators and players can enjoy a lounge area with Wi-Fi, high-top seating, a wet bar, couches and television viewing. Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and snacks will be available for participants during the tournament. Beer and wine for those 21 and over will be offered on a cash bar basis.
Times to be determined. As the event date approaches, participants and spectators are encouraged to check for updates on this event page, via e-blasts to our fan base, or Social Media.
