Cecili Weber is a graduate of Hollins University, and has called Roanoke, Virginia, home for the past five years. In 2017 Cecili experienced two significant life events: Obtaining her B. A. in Communication Studies; and, winning the title of Miss Virginia! She went on to represent the Commonwealth at the historic Miss America competition last September where she placed in the Top 10. Her talent area was Contemporary Dance. Upon returning to Virginia she has been dedicated to promoting her personal service platform, “Born Leaders,” in which she encourages young people to reach their full potential and pursue leadership. Her travels take her across Virginia and into schools, community centers, and to social events where she promotes leadership and living a life enriched through service.
Cecili has a strong desire to help others, and is proud to also partner with national organizations like the USO and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals during her year of service. Her life ambition is to pursue a career in Public Relations with a top fashion or beauty brand. In her own words: “Throughout my year of service, I intend to inspire people to believe in themselves, step outside their comfort zones, and build up their communities through leadership. My program, “Born Leaders,” works to help individuals identify their own skills, thereby enabling them to best serve others in leadership capacities in social, academic, or civic spheres. I am a firm believer that we are each leaders in our own right, and that if you believe it, you can achieve it.”
