Jordan Garrett and Maggie Nave (Piano/Guitar/Vocal) – Maggie Nave and Jordan Garrett met as freshman college roommates at JMU and have lived together since those freshman dorm days in Harrisonburg, VA. They are both students in the School of Music there where they study classical music. Their first EP, See How It Shines, was released in February of 2014. They present a strong emphasis of vocal harmonies and expressive lyricism with themes of honesty, acceptance, and hope.
Jordan Garrett is a senior Music Industry student at James Madison University. Her training in classical piano brought her a love of music at a young age, and she has written her own songs since the age of 13. She works to bring honesty and hope in everything she writes. Originally from Richmond, Virginia, she has been traveling all over the state with her roommate and best friend to play their music. Jordan recently performed her classical recital featuring Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata in October of last year. She is currently fulfilling her last semester at school to wrap up her Humanitarian Affairs minor while worship leading at a RISE, a church plant in downtown Harrisonburg.
Maggie Nave is a graduating senior vocal music education major from James Madison University. She has been student teaching at the elementary level in Loudoun County and now is finishing her student teaching at Handley High School with their choral department. She has a love for all kinds of music including, but not limited to, lyric singer-songwriter music, rap, choral music, country, opera, Broadway show tunes, and bluegrass. Maggie has an incredibly supportive family. Her father is the pastor of Braddock Street United Methodist Church, her mother was a vocal performance major at Shenandoah University, and her older brother is getting his Ph.D in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Virginia Tech.
