Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival® President, Barry Carper is pleased to announce another very talented, very entertaining lineup of Nashville rising stars for the Festival’s 2020 Ability Home Care Country Music Party on Saturday evening, May 2, 2020 at 8:00 pm at the Tolley Dental Zone in the James R. Wilkins, Jr. Athletics & Events Center on the campus of Shenandoah University.
Headlining the 2020 Ability Home Care Country Music Party is Northern California-native, Tyler Rich. Tyler found his love of music gathered around a Christmas tree alongside family singing holiday classics and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Fast forward to graduating college with a degree in Economics, Tyler moved to LA to pursue a different game of numbers – music – exploring various genres with songwriting and bands before taking the leap as a solo artist.
Tyler’s fanbase has grown organically from Sacramento to Nashville where in 2017 he signed a record deal with The Valory Music Co. and publishing agreement with Big Machine Music. While introducing his amplified sound and infectious energy coast to coast, the 2018 CMT Listen Up and 2019 Pandora Artist to Watch become a road warrior performing alongside some of the genre’s top acts including Dustin Lynch, Sam Hunt, Brett Eldredge, Justin Moore, Cole Swindell, Dan + Shay, Brett Young and Jon Pardi.
Enlisting Tyler as one of their “10 New Country Artists You Need to Know,” Rolling Stone touts him as “the newest member of country music’s radio-minded incoming class, with a homecoming king’s swagger and a valedictorian’s songwriting smarts.” Tyler’s back-to-back No. 1 hits on SiriusXM – “The Difference” and “Leave Her Wild” – were inspired by his newlywed wife model/actress Sabina Gadecki. People explored how Tyler went from “From Red Robin to Hitting No. 1,” penning his own music and Backstreet Boys AJ McLean’s single “Night Visions.” His charm and fresh sound have cumulated 155M+ streams to date as Tyler readies to return to the studio. He’s just released “Rather Be Us,” a track written alongside Brad Tursi and Lindsay Rimes. Tyler is currently on the road as support on LANCO’s What I See Tour through mid-March 2020.
Emily Ann Roberts was raised on mountain music and bluegrass and influenced by artists such as the Dixie Chicks and Dolly Parton. In 2015, while still in high school, Emily Ann was a contestant on the Hit NBC show “The Voice”. As part of “Team Blake” she worked closely with Blake Shelton and the other coaches on the show and eventually was named runner-up of season 9. Emily Ann then began co-writing and recording her own music in Nashville while playing shows at venues across the country. In September of 2018 she made her debut release of her first original song, “Stuck on Me + You” and then followed that with another passionate original, “I’ve Got Forever”.
Emily Ann is determined to continue creating music that makes an impact in the lives of those who listen. Signed to Nashville’s Starstruck Records, her recent single and title of her EP, “Someday Dream”, has a message of taking hold of your biggest dreams and chasing them in every moment. Emily Ann wants her listeners to know that if she is able to live out her dreams, they can too.
The Future is bright for this up and coming new star in the Nashville skyline!
Returning home from Nashville, TN and kicking off the show at the Ability Home Care Country Music Party is none other than local singer/songwriter, Bryan Frazier. A proud Winchester native, Bryan’s songs are autobiographical anthems of growing up in the Blue Ridge Mountains spending his days on the Shenandoah River and nights by an apple orchard bonfire.
The Virginian infuses modern Country with Rock swagger and a sound that’s both fresh and based in timeless traditions. He’s penned over 100 songs a year in Music City’s vibrant collaborative scene. Frazier has already hit the road with artists like Phil Vassar, Cole Swindell, Jimmie Allen, among others, and his story is only just beginning to grow.
