Changes in Reservation System: This annual sellout event is always working to improve itself. For 2018, Festival Organizers wanted to fine tune the reservation process and make it more user-friendly. There are now two ways to reserve a full table in advance:
- The traditional method: Purchase a full table of 10 seats now for $250 (10 tickets). Send a check payable to “SABF,” Attn: Sue Linton, 135 North Cameron Street, Winchester, Virginia, 22601. Tickets will be mailed to you in early April, around the time of the opening of the Souvenir Store & Ticket Outlet.
- New for 2018: Hold a table with a non-refundable “Reservation Fee” of $50 and take your time finding your tablemates and purchasing the remaining 8 tickets between now and April 21st.
Now Using a Seating Chart: Whatever method you choose, even if you are only buying one or two tickets, contact Sue Linton at email@example.com or (734) 693-5776. Sue is working on the seating chart for the event to help people get the seats that they want.
Sightlines to Stage Reconfigured for 2018: Festival Organizers freely admit that a crowded dance floor last year blocked the sightlines to the stage. Attendees had difficulty seeing the band, particularly internationally recognized bandleader, Rick K, and Steve, the Mad Drummer. With the Clarion’s approval, a new stage will provide clear sightlines to the stage even when the dance floor is packed. Clarion management says this is the first time that the room has been set up in this way.
GW Hotel’s Tenth Anniversary: Mark the date: Monday, April 30th, 2018. Not only is that the date of the uber-energetic, fashionable & fun 2018 Pumps and Pearls Ladies’ Party; but, it is also the exact date of the Tenth Anniversary of the Grand Re-Opening of the George Washington Hotel on April 30th, 2008. Stay tuned for more information on this story.
New Prizes and Returning Prizes for 2018: The Pumps and Pearls Ladies’ Party has a new Presenting Sponsor: Ferguson Bath, Kitchen and Lighting, who will be giving away a wine chiller; and, returning event sponsors will be: Winchester Hand and Stone and Morgan Stanley.
