Larry Robinson is a native of Bossier City, Louisiana, where he graduated from Airline High School. In 1986, during his senior year, he led his team to a perfect 30-0 regular season record and was named First Team All-State, and Mr. Louisiana Basketball. After graduating from high school, he was an All-American at Eastern Oklahoma Junior College, where he averaged over 24 points per game during his sophomore year. In 1988, he obtained his Associates Degree in Fine Arts; and, in 1989, he was offered a scholarship to Centenary College where he led the Gents to a 22-8 (W-L) record and the Trans-America Athletic Conference Championship, while averaging 22.9 points/game with 3.5 steals/game (4th best in nation). Larry earned Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the TAAC in 1989-90 for his efforts. A solid journeyman pro-player, Larry played in the NBA from 1990 to 2002, affording him the opportunity to play with eight different NBA Franchises: Washington Bullets, Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets [where he earned a Championship Ring in 1994], Vancouver Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the New York Knicks. Between seasons, he hosted summer basketball camps for nine years in the Shreveport-Bossier area. Larry was elected a member of the Louisiana Association of Basketball Coaches (LABC) Hall of Fame in 1998, and was enshrined in the Centenary College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2001. After announcing his retirement from pro ball, he returned to finish his education, earning a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree from Centenary College. In 2012, after gaining extensive experience in the Casino Industry, Larry partnered with Future Technology, LLC, in forming Eaglestrike Entertainment, LLC, where he serves as the Vice President of Sales and Customer Relations. Larry Robinson currently resides in Dallas, Texas, with his wife, Flecia Robinson, where they enjoy spending time with their four children. He will serve as Court Ambassador at the Coronation of Queen Shenandoah XC, Kiara Laurenzano; and, his appearance at the Festival is sponsored by Winchester Moose Lodge #1283.
