A variety of talent took to the stage for the third and final round of auditions for the annual 2017 Car Credit Nation “Apple Blossom’s Got Talent!” contest, held Wednesday Feb. 15 at the Bright Box Theater in Winchester.
The ten groups or individuals chosen to compete in the semi-finals April 12 include the following: the band Cross N Styles; singers Lauren Armstrong, Charles Bailey, Kendall Holben and Brian Tate; dancers Sabrina Harrison and Malachi Strother; the duet of Rose and Matt; singer and guitar player Ryan Jewell; and the performance art duo of Stephanie and Matthew Connell (hula hoop dancing and electric guitar).

Theresa Gaines, chair of the event which is part of the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival®, to be held April 28 to May 7, said the auditions have gone extremely well with enthusiastic competitors applying to compete.
Thirty contestants who won at the three auditions will compete in semi-finals April 12, and winners from that event will compete in the finals May 3. The finals will be held during the 90th festival whose theme is “Bloomtown: Bringing the WOW for 90 years!” All contests will begin at 7 p.m. at the Bright Box in downtown Winchester. Prizes awarded at the final event include first place, $5,000; second place, $1,500; and third place, $500.
Audience tickets for the semi-finals and finals are available at the festival office located at 135 N. Cameron Street, Winchester. No phone orders will be accepted.
There will be 80 G/A seats upstairs and 120 G/A seats downstairs at each event. Semi-finals ticket cost is $10.00 for Upstairs (Screen View Only), and $20.00 for Downstairs (Live View), while Finals ticket cost is $20.00 for Upstairs (Screen View Only), and $40.00 for Downstairs (Live View).
