The Festival starts on April 24, and the festivities continue through Sunday, May 3. The Winchester Police Department is committed to ensuring the safety and security of local residents and festival goers. Included is safety and security information that everyone should be aware of.

This long-lived luncheon is and was a place to meet and greet, to see and be seen in your best Bloom hat, hear a speaker, win door prizes, and see the year’s celebrities up close and personal. Although, there may be fewer orchards in the area than in yesteryear, the Auxiliary has been around for 75 years with over 60 years of grand luncheons.

Festival President, Jim Douglas [from an “apple family” himself], is very proud to announce that local fruit grower, Cordell Watt, has been named the 2015 Ambassador to the Court of Queen Shenandoah LXXXVIII-designate, Natasha Bure. Born and raised in Frederick County, Cordell Watt has consistently shown that being a third generation apple grower, an active member of his community, and a husband and father are far from his only accomplishments.
Twenty-nine acts competed Wednesday April 8 in the semi-finals for the 2015 Second Annual Car Credit Nation, Apple Blossoms Got Talent Show at the Bright Box Theatre. The top 12 have been chosen, in addition to one wild card, to compete in the finals April 29th.
On Tuesday, April 7, 2015, the Commonwealth of Virginia once again acknowledged the Festival’s great ability to draw tourists into the Commonwealth with a grant check; and, the Festival, in turn, most gratefully acknowledges the Commonwealth’s help.
