Winchester — Twenty-seven acts competed Wednesday March 11 in the third and final round of auditions for the 2015 Second Annual Car Credit Nation, Apple Blossom’s Got Talent Show at the Bright Box Theatre, 15 N. Loudoun St.
The ten groups or individuals chosen to compete in the semi-finals April 8 include the following: Ryan Jewel; Maggie Nave and Jordan Garrett; Austin Bossidy; Paul Martin; Jessica Eaton; Charles Bailey; Jonathan Smith and Angela Galestro; Michael Gremillion; Emma Eyre, Brandon Mason and Michaela Mason; and Shawn Nakia.
Judges for the third round were Dr. James Laster, professor emeritus at Shenandoah Conservatory at Shenandoah University; Sara Gomez who has been acting and directing productions for 46 years in the area, and Mario Orsini, a professional illusionist who has performed since 2008.
Semi-finals will be held April 8 and finals April 29 at the Bright Box. Ten winners were chosen at all three auditions to compete in the semi-finals.
This is the second year the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival® has sponsored the talent show. Twelve contestants will be selected for the final contest, which will be held April 29 during the 88th festival, April 24 to May 3. This year’s theme is “Get Your Bloom On.”
Prizes awarded at the final event include first place, $5,000; second place, $1,500, and third place, $500.
