What an incredible evening! If you weren’t at Bright Box Theater in Old Town Winchester on March 13, you missed out bigtime. A total of 25 acts competed in the second round of auditions for the “Car Credit Nation: Apple Blossom’s Got Talent!” The top 10 won a coveted spot in the semi-final competition, set for Thursday, April 17, 2014.
The night was dominated by incredible vocalists, but talent flooded in from other individuals including an improvised drum solo, instrumental performances, cutting-edge dances, comedians, a frisbee champion, and a magician. The judges — Sara Gomez, Mario Orsini and Wendi Gruninger — had a tough job deciding which talented folks would move on to the next round.
Congratulations to the top 10, who will move on to the semi-finals: Gary Auerbach (The Frisbee Man); Coleman Bales (guitar); Austin Bossidy (beatbox); Michael Gremillion (singer); Cathy Kerns (singer); Nick Lamanna (comedian); Nicole Michael (hip hop dance); Shawn Nakia (singer); Amanda Ortiz (singer); Those Three Guys (trio of musicians – two acoustic guitars and one hand drum). Take a moment to view some of the photos below from the finalists’ auditions. During the event, we also posted some random video clips on our Facebook page, and there is a video below recapping Round 2 finalist performances.
